History of the Huddersfield Woollen Industry

Written by WB Crump and Gertrude Ghorbal first published in 1935 this is a 1967 reprint published by the Tolson Museum. This is a very well illustrated 132 book much more detailed than modern equivalents. I was tempted to scan many more of the illustrations as even though I hale from the “Heavy Woollen Area” I found them fascinating, I would have loved to have seen the Cloth Hall, which I understand was where the covered market (oddly listed) next to the town hall stands.
