Richard Scott Prather was an American mystery novelist, best known for creating the “Shell Scott” series. He also wrote under the pseudonyms David Knight and Douglas Ring.

Born in California in 1921 he died in 2007. Not quite as prolific as John Creasey, but a respectable output never the less.

Most of the copies I have were published by Gold Medal some covers more interesting than others.
