This is what Beacon says about their copy that they are asking £40.00 for ” Beacon Publishing Co., [ca.1949]. “Maria Monk was a Canadian woman whose book Awful Disclosures of Maria Monk, or, The Hidden Secrets of a Nun’s Life in a Convent Exposed claimed to expose systematic sexual abuse of nuns and infanticide of the resulting children by Catholic priests in her convent in Montreal.” I didn’t know where to put this, but as it was published by Pemberton (undated) I have assumed it is not a book about divination. Only one on offer on ABE for £175 though I have found one elsewhere for only £100. Published in 1950 by Robin Hood Press cover art by Terry. Internally the staples look dark but the paper is free of foxing and discolouring, in fact in much better condition then many much newer publications.
